Hi Sophia, sorry to hear about the layoff. I wouldn’t give up on it entirely, especially if you enjoy it—two years of experience isn’t bad. I see you have a strong background that you can use to your advantage. There are different paths you can take. For example, I have a friend from the Netherlands with a background in psychology who struggled with the UXR market for a year. She eventually started looking for jobs in human resources and psychology and ended up getting a position that pays much better than what she would have earned as a UXR, and that she enjoys more. So, it really depends on what you like and whether you want to pursue UX or find a job to pay the bills while continuing to apply for your desired role. Ultimately, it depends on your circumstances and future goals. Reach out to me on LinkedIn, and let's chat.
